Ongoing Sewer Assessment and Rehabilitation Program (OSARP)

Compliance EnviroSystems Awarded Contract with DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management

CES is working on behalf of DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management to assess 34 sewersheds (sewer collection systems) comprising approximately 1.2 million LF of sewer lines. This project is part of DeKalb’s Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study for Ongoing Sewer Assessment and Rehabilitation Program (OSARP). This program falls under the county’s consent decree with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD).

Our team is using closed-circuit television (CCTV) to evaluate sewer main conditions and identify cleaning and rehabilitation needs. Once the assessment is complete, CES crews will use high-pressure water jets to clear debris from the lines. The work under this project includes field collection, delivery, and reporting of the data collected during assessments.

This sewer cleaning project started August 27, 2018, and is expected to last over two years, with a contract end date of December 30, 2020.
