Job Description:
New employees will begin work in a temporary on-site facility and then transition to a permanent location in South Baton Rouge. All training is ‘on-the-job training’ and will last for several weeks following initial hiring.
Requirements for Applicants:
Applicants are applying to work on CES’ special projects crew. Most training will be done on the job. Special skills that are beneficial are utility locating and taking GPS points.
Requirements:
-Clean driving record
-Reliable transportation
-Willing to travel up to 2 weeks at a time (travel & per diem provided)
-Arrive on time every day
-Willing to work different work schedules: 10 on / 4 off; 14 on / 6 off
-Willing to work overtime
-Be able to lift 75lbs
-Basic computer skills (Excel & Word)
Daily Tasks:
-Identifying and locating underground utilities
-Collecting GPS coordinates of various points of interest
-Operate robotic cameras to inspect underground utilities (CCTV)
-Operate high-pressure cleaning equipment to clean pipes
CCTV Operators are considered leaders of the crew. One must be proficient in the capabilities and responsibilities of both Helpers and Jet-Vac Operators as well as the qualifications below:
Jet Vac Operators have a great responsibility for workplace safety and maintaining their equipment. The Jet Vac Operator is an extremely vital position in our crews.
Helpers will be assisting in inspection and cleaning of sewer and storm drain pipes. This will include the following activities:
