Electro
Scan

Due to its reliance on clear visibility, even CCTV inspection is not without certain limitations. Enter Electro Scan technology. Electro Scan inspections use electricity to find defects in pipes, joints and sewer tap connections. Electro Scan reveals leaks unseen by visual observation.

Electro Scan inspections send an electric current through the pipes in question. As the electrical current travels from a probe inside the pipe, through the water to a second probe outside the pipe wall, small fluctuations in the current are detected and measured. By determining the amount of current escaping through the pipe wall, Electro Scan is able to quantify the size of the problem as well as indicate the type of defect found.

Leaks are indicated by an increase in current

CES field technicians are highly trained to use this technology, which ensures consistency in results. The inspection results are easily exported to headquarters for further analysis and reporting.
