Confined Space Entry

Donning protective body suits and air tanks, CES employees Lloyd (Jethro) Bumgarden, Roy Marino, and Jacob Steward took turns entering a vault known to have hydrogen sulfide, a colorless poisonous gas, at a wastewater treatment plant.

The crew, including CES Cleaning Operator Raymond Young, safely removed 33,320 pounds of debris from the plant’s grit chamber.

Supervising the safety processes for this unique cleaning project was CES Safety Director Tim Mack, along with safety consultant Ricky Roberts of Risk Wise. After performing a hazard assessment of the job site, they conducted a job safety analysis along with CES Project Managers, Paul Bordelon, Matt Daniel, and Marc Fogos.
