Sonar Inspections
Sonar inspection works below the waterline to identify open joints, offset joints, and debris in the pipe. A transducer sends a signal which reflects from objects in its path. Time of flight is measured and the distance is calculated. Software generates a model of the pipe, and “scrubs” unwanted floating debris. Accurate debris mapping for location and volume is easily done using sonar. Sonar works in partially or completely full pipes.
***The combination of CCTV, laser and sonar offers the best inspection technique available today.*** |
