The most effective method available to determine the internal condition within a closed piping system is by conducting a closed circuit television (CCTV) inspection. This technology utilizes high resolution remote controlled camera systems that are controlled by a central computer. A rotating camera head provides a 360o view within the pipe. Inspection data is recorded on a tape in VHS, CD or DVD format and returned to the data center for detailed analysis. A typical CCTV inspection will reveal the following: structural condition of the pipe evidence of infiltration and inflow maintenance requirements – roots, grease, debris discovery of hazardous underground conditions (voids under roadways) Back
